The Appalachian Trail Blend is dark and full-bodied, with flavorful hints of wild berries and a cinnamon-like finish. This dark roast is one of the richest and smoothest coffees we carry and creates a wonderful cup. All of Higher Ground’s coffees are Fair Trade, organic, and shade-grown.

Fair Trade certification enables the farmers who grow our coffees to keep their family-owned farms and benefit from economic and educational programs, while growing a great organic crop. Our coffees are also grown in the shade of the forest canopy—preserving ancient forests and natural habitat for innumerable species of plants and animals.

The Appalachian Trail Conservancy is an 80-year-old, volunteer-based, private, non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of the 2,175-mile Appalachian National Scenic Trail.
